First and foremost, Pilates is a workout. We also incorporate principles of rehabilitation, breath control, and stretching into our workouts, but these activities do not represent the fundamental purpose of Pilates.

Pilates challenges your body as a whole, with an ordered sequence of exercises that target your deep, core muscles. You can’t learn Pilates in your living room watching a DVD. If you’ve tried Pilates before and think it’s too easy or doesn’t provide a challenge, then you haven’t experienced it the way it was intended.

Pilates is an integrated system of Mind-Body exercise evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates.

Every member of this studio receives personalized instruction based on an individual fitness plan developed when you start the program. If you have an injury or special condition, we will accommodate it with special modifications, but you will get a workout.

Precision • Concentration • Breathing • Centering • Rhythm and Flow • Coordination • Control
